Client Connections
A connection between a Partner and Client allows the Partner to provide support services to the Client. While a connection is active:
- The Partner may log in to the Client’s account by using the tools within their Partner Dashboard.
- The Partner is eligible to receive a commission when the Client pays invoices issued by Burdi (see the Revenue Share section for details)
Partners can view a list of all active connections from the Partner Dashboard.
Partners may connect to Clients by setting up Client’s accounts using their unique link found on the Partner Dashboard.
The Client may disconnect from the Partner at any time by de-activating the “Partner Support” add-on within their Burdi Account.
Partner Commission
Burdi pays commission to Partners under multiple programs, the Referral Bonus program for membership package sign ups, the Sales Bonus for sales of Bundle Passports, and a Revenue Sharing program. All programs are described in more detail in the following sections.
All commission earned by Partners is added to the Partner’s commission balance.
Burdi pays commissions to Partners monthly or quarterly (provided the Partner’s commission balance is at least $25). Burdi will transfer the Partner’s current commission balance to the Partner by transfer to the Partner’s nominated account, and the Partner’s commission balance will be set to zero. If a Partner’s commission balance is less than $25 on the date at which commissions are paid, Burdi will not pay any commission for that period. Instead, the balance will be held by Burdi until the next scheduled payment date.
Any transfer fees associated with payment of the Partner’s commission balance will be deducted from the amount paid to the Partner.
Referral Bonus for the Membership Packages
Partners can earn a sign-up Referral Bonus for new clients who become paying customers after signing up to Burdi using the Partner’s Referral Link. The amounts of the referral bonus depend upon what package the customer initially signs up on. The maximum amounts of the Referral Bonuses are as below:
- $100 for the Starter Package
- $200 for the Business Package
- $500 for any Enterprise Package
Referral Bonus conditions:
- The Referral Bonus is paid for any referred clients that sign up for membership after their free trial period.
- The Referral Bonus is paid out as 50% of the client’s monthly payments received (excluding additional Integrations fees (i.e. Xero integrations) or Additional Invoices Processed fees) until the referral balance is nil or lower than the revenue commission would be.
As an example, if a Partner referred a client that joins on a Business Package the referral bonus amount would be $200, the base monthly amount that the client pays would be $68 and the revenue commission amount would be 20% of the base monthly amount, and it would be paid out as in the example table below:
*All amounts shown are GST inclusive and are subject to change at Burdi’s discretion.
If a client cancels or downgrades their membership during the referral bonus payment period, referral bonus payments to the Partner will cease for that client.
If a client upgrades their membership during the referral bonus payment period, the referral bonus payment amounts to the Partner will remain at the level payable for the initial membership package for that client.
There is no additional referral bonuses for Partners where clients change packages.
The Client must sign up using the Partner’s Referral Link to be eligible for the Referral Bonus.
- Any Client that is referred to the Partner by Burdi is ineligible for the Referral Bonus. Partners who encourage the client to close their Burdi account and create a new Burdi account using the Partner’s Referral Link will have their Partner account terminated.
- Revenue paid to the Partner through the Referral Bonus is paid to the Partner prior to the Revenue Sharing scheme taking effect.
Sales Bonuses for Bundle Passports
The Partner will earn $500 (including GST) for directly making the sale of a Bundle Passport, as the current full price, to one of their clients when signing the client up on a membership, or at any time when client has a membership.
Referral Bonuses for the sale of Bundle Passports are paid to the Partner 1 month after the Client pays Burdi the sale price.
If Burdi makes the sale of a Bundle Passport to a Partner’s client, there is no Referral Bonus payable to the Partner.
If Burdi is required to refund the clients Bundle Passport for any reason within the 1 month of receiving payment, the Referral Bonus will not be paid to the Partner.
Revenue Share
Partners earn Revenue Share based on Burdi’s revenue from the subject Client when they pay an invoice issued by Burdi (excluding revenue from additional Integrations fees i.e. Xero integrations, or Additional Invoices Processed fees) after any Referral Bonus payment period. The percentage paid to the Partner is 20%.
Once a Client is connected to a Partner, Revenue Share is available for the lifetime of the connection between the Partner and the Client as long as the Partner maintains their active Partner status.
Revenue Share conditions:
- While connected, the Partner agrees to provide ongoing support to the Client, backed by Burdi’s Support Team.
- The Partner should be the first point of contact for all Client’s support.
- Any support enquiries that cannot be handled by the Partner can be referred to the Burdi Support Team for resolution.
- The Partner may choose to charge the client separately for their support.
- Clients who have imported over 100 invoices, or are already connected to another partner, are not eligible for Revenue Sharing.
- The connection with a Partner can be terminated by the Client or the partner at any time at the Client’s or Partner’s discretion. If the Client or Partner terminates the connection, revenue sharing for that Client will cease.
- Revenue Share commission for any particular Client will not be paid to the Partner if the invoice has not been paid by the Client.
Annual Membership Fees
Clients will be able to purchase annual memberships that will provide them with a 12% discount as compared to 12 times monthly membership payments.
This slightly changes how Referral Bonuses for the Membership Packages and Revenue Share are paid to Partners.
When a Partner signs up a new Client with an annual membership the complete Referral Bonus is paid to the Partner 1 month after the Client pays Burdi the annual membership price and then from month 2 onwards Burdi will pay the Partner monthly the 20% Revenue Share of the adjusted monthly equivalent payment.
See below table for current annual membership pricing:
See below table for current year 1 expected Partner payments for annual membership packages, and compared to year 1 expected Partner payments for monthly membership packages:
*All amounts shown are GST inclusive and are subject to change at Burdi’s discretion.
Partner Cookie Tracking
If a partner provides a potential customer their unique partner sign-up link and the customer uses the link but does not complete the sign-up form however, they visit the Burdi website and sign up through the main website revenue share will still be eligible.
Duration of the agreement
Once the Partner has been approved by the Burdi Partner Team, this agreement will remain in place until terminated by either party.
Either party may terminate this agreement for any reason, giving notice of one month. Upon termination, any Partner commission balance not yet paid to the Partner will be forfeited to Burdi.
